Filled with the refreshing fragrance of Ryukyu tatami, YAMAGATA04 offers a serene and calming atmosphere. Adding a distinct “Yamagata character” to the room are the chairs and tables crafted by Tendo Mokko, one of the region’s most celebrated furniture makers. Designed by Swedish designer Bruno Mathsson specifically to harmonize with traditional Japanese tatami rooms, the softly toned chairs blend naturally into the space, bringing understated elegance and refinement. Time spent in the hinoki cypress bath, filled with fresh natural hot spring water rich in mineral benefits, is equally exceptional - offering deep relaxation for both body and mind.
