Overlooking the majestic Juniichiyama mountain that watches quietly over the Okitama region, YAMAGATA06 is a room where the spirit of Yamagata is expressed through both landscape and design, featuring chairs and tables crafted by Tendo Mokko. Minimal yet refined, the room’s modern aesthetic is complemented by its most distinctive feature: a dedicated “meditation room” connected to the living area through a traditional nijiriguchi-style entrance. Within this intimate two-tatami space, guests may spend time reflecting in silence, becoming immersed in a book, or simply listening quietly to their own thoughts during the journey. Immersed in the beautifully soothing waters scented with hinoki cypress and gentle sulfur notes, guests are invited to experience a moment of deep calm - as though both body and spirit are being quietly purified.
