冬の山形を代表する観光スポット『蔵王の樹氷』

「スノーモンスター」とも呼ばれている”蔵王の樹氷”は、大自然の驚異を体感する山形の「宝物」です。

蔵王連峰の特殊な気象条件と植生が造り出す、世界でもあまり類を見ない”氷”と”雪”の芸術品。

蔵王温泉スキー場では、樹氷の見頃にあわせて「蔵王樹氷まつり」が開催され、例年は開催期間中に様々な催しが行われます。

また、蔵王ロープウェイでは「樹氷ライトアップ」が開催され、漆黒の闇の中にカラー照明で浮かびあがる樹氷の姿をご覧いただけます。
そこは、まるで幻想の世界に迷い込んだ雰囲気です。

The frost-covered trees of Zao—also known as “Snow Monsters”—are one of Yamagata’s true natural treasures, offering a breathtaking encounter with the wonders of nature.

Created by the unique weather conditions and vegetation of the Zao Mountain Range, these formations are a rare work of “ice” and “snow” art, seldom seen anywhere else in the world.

During the peak season, the Zao Onsen Ski Resort hosts the annual Zao Juhyo Festival, featuring a variety of special events throughout the festival period.

The Zao Ropeway also holds the popular Juhyo Light-Up, where the towering Snow Monsters are illuminated with colorful lights against the dark night sky—an enchanting, otherworldly sight that feels like stepping into a fantasy realm.
