雪灯篭まつり会場まで当館から車35分程。

山形を代表する、雪と灯りの幻想的な冬のイベント『上杉雪灯篭まつり』が今年も開催されます。

『上杉雪灯篭まつり』

毎年2月の第2土曜と次の日曜日、松が岬公園一帯を主会場に 約200基の雪灯篭と、1,000個の雪ぼんぼり（雪洞）に ともしびが灯されます。

やわらかな灯りが揺らぐ情景には温もりと美しさがあり、 幻想の詩情を添えて人々をメルヘンの世界へと誘います。

前日の金曜日には、雪灯篭のプレ点灯も行われます。
まつり期間中はイベントや物産展なども開催され、見どころが満載です。

13日・14日は、上杉雪灯篭まつり会場内において、幻想的な雪景色を前にステージイベントも開催されます。

会場周辺は混雑が予想されますので、有料シャトルバスをご利用いただくか、 付近の有料駐車場、または公共交通機関をご利用ください。

What Is the Uesugi Snow Lantern Festival?

Held every year on the second Saturday of February and the following Sunday, the main venue is Matsugasaki Park, where approximately 200 snow lanterns and 1,000 snow bonbori (small snow lanterns) are illuminated.

The softly flickering lights create a scene filled with warmth and beauty, adding a touch of dreamlike poetry and inviting visitors into a magical, fairytale-like world.

On the Friday prior to the festival, a special pre-lighting of the snow lanterns is also held.

上杉神社とは・・・

上杉神社は「不識公」上杉謙信公が祀られております。

「不識公」の由縁をご存知ですか？

梁の皇帝である武帝の問い「朕に対する者は誰ぞ」のに対して達磨大師が一言答えた「不識（ふしき）」。すなわち「知らん」。

謙信公の思いは「武帝のような権力者にならない。民あっての為政者であることを肝に銘じて、謙虚な心を忘れない」という自分に対する戒めだそうです。

そんな米沢の歴史へ思いをはせながら、雪国山形の幻想的な情景に包まれる冬のひと時･･･
この、やわらかな灯りが揺らぐ情景には温もりと美しさがあります。

今年も開催が決まった冬まつりで、雪国ならではの忘れられな思い出を、当館で過ごすひと時とともにお楽しみください。
